The Dean of Paris School of Management (PSM), Dario Silić, took part in the Economic Forum organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, a traditional event that brings together members of the academic community, business leaders, public administration representatives, and the wider public.

This year’s forum focused on the theme: “How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming the Public and Private Sectors.” The Forum was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia, highlighting its national relevance and importance.
Distinguished participants included representatives of regional and local government, such as the County Prefect of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the Mayor of Rijeka, as well as leading figures from key financial and governmental institutions.

Practical application of AI
Artificial Intelligence is no longer an abstract concept reserved solely for technology specialists. Today, it directly influences the efficiency of public administration, corporate operations, financial decision-making, and the delivery of public services. From predictive analytics and automated reporting to advanced customer insights and intelligent process automation, AI is redefining how organizations create value and remain competitive in rapidly changing markets.
Discussions centered on the practical application of AI in analytics and decision-making, risk management, process optimization, and strengthening competitiveness. Particular emphasis was placed on responsible AI governance, data ethics, cybersecurity, and the importance of aligning technological innovation with regulatory frameworks and human capital development.

Dean Dario Silić participated on a panel dedicated to Artificial Intelligence as a strategic management tool in the private sector. In his intervention, he highlighted that AI should not be viewed merely as a technological upgrade, but as a comprehensive strategic transformation that requires visionary leadership, cross-functional integration, and continuous investment in skills development. He also emphasized the role of business schools in preparing future leaders to navigate AI-driven environments with critical thinking, ethical awareness, and strategic agility.
The Forum concluded with informal discussions and networking, reaffirming that such gatherings create valuable opportunities for new ideas, partnerships, and collaborative projects.
