With a strong background in accounting, finance, and business management, Dario Manca has developed an international career across Italy and France. As a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Manager, he joined the Executive MBA at the Paris School of Management to challenge himself, expand his expertise, and prepare for greater leadership responsibilities, while benefiting from the flexibility needed to maintain a balanced professional and personal life.

Could you tell us a little about your career and what you do today?

I am Italian, and I studied in Italy. I have a Master’s degree in Business Management and Consulting and I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Italy. I came to France for personal reasons 10 years ago. I obtained the equivalent of the CPA qualification in France. After working in accounting firms, where you observe companies from the outside, I started working directly within companies. Currently, I hold the position of Financial Manager in a railway company belonging to an Italian group.

What factors influenced your decision to join the PSM Executive MBA?

There are several reasons why I joined the PSM EMBA program: I wanted to challenge myself, expand my knowledge, and earn a degree that would allow me to take on more important roles within companies. At the same time, I was looking for a school and a program that would offer me flexibility to achieve a better work-life balance. The PSM EMBA was therefore ideal for me.

What makes the online experience at PSM feel interactive or impactful for you?

What makes this online PSM experience so interactive and enriching is that I can go at my own pace, and even though it’s not in person, the teachers are very available and respond quickly to questions when I contact them.

If you had to describe the program in three words, what would they be and why?

  • Comprehensive, because it allows you to delve into all the topics related to running a business.
  • Balanced, because there are 12 courses over 12 months, giving you ample time to prepare for each one.
  • Challenging, because it’s my first time pursuing an online degree.

How do you plan to use what you’ve learned in the next stage of your career?

With the knowledge and skills acquired through the EMBA, which will hopefully boost my career by allowing me to take on management positions, I will be able to better lead and coach teams.
